Hi, I'm Amanda Stanaway. Stay a while with me.

I am an artist. I am a consultant for social entrepreneurship, an aspiring writer, a musician and a friend. I create things that don’t exist anymore. Things that aren’t available in current economics or society… things from times gone by. Songs and spaces, synchronicity and sanctuary.

What do you know, can you grow, what can we create?
What is possible in our conversations?

Music Maker

I’m singing to make sense of it all, to tell the stories that need telling, to remember love. My modern, gutsy folk music catches attention and holds space with lyrical stories of living, love and faith. I travel in an ice-cream truck. People come and sit and don’t want to leave. This is my car, you’ll see me around my town—you might see me around your town.

Space Maker

I’m a space maker. I create and hold space where people experience modern-day communion, drawn to a deeper level. This space finds entrepreneurial expression in coffee shops, cafés, galleries, song circles, bed-and-breakfast homes and more.

Home Maker

I make home space. Community space in flux. In my home is the Wayfaring Stranger room, a kitchen with homemade jam, a work-in-progress.

My house is open to wandering collaborators with an invitation. Want to create together? Be visionaries? Cook? Sit? Stay awhile? Ask me.

On my property is Doc’s Cottage. Anyone can stay there through Airbnb.

Doc’s Cottage

My vintage Sears & Roebuck cottage built as the doctor's office in the heart of Sherwood's Historic Old Town, once known as Smockville. 20 minutes to downtown Portland and gateway to Willamette Valley Wine Country. Come to visit, or stay a while.
